On 23 and 24 December, College of Pharmacy at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering &Technology (SRMS CET), Bareillyhosted its Alumni Meet. Organized at Shri Ram MurtiSmarak Alaknanda Resort and SRMSCET Campus, Bareilly, the theme of the Alumni Meet was ‘PHARMA ELIXIR’. The main objective of the event was to reconnect with the past students and celebrate their success and achievements. During the event, a special welcome was extended to the alumni of batches 2000-2010.
Day 1 of the Alumni Meet witnessed alumni members meeting up at SRMS AlaknandaResort, where MrDev Murti(Chairman, SRMS Trust) and Mr Aditya Murti (Secretary, SRMS Trust) warmly welcomed them. The celebrations for the evening included gathering around a campfire and dinner.
On Day 2,alumni members were taken on a campus tour.While revisiting the familiar place where they had studied, past students could learn about the developments that had taken place since they had graduated.
Then everyone gathered at SRMS Centennial Auditorium for the Alumni Meet. The event started with an invocation song, sung by students pursuing Bachelor of Pharmacy. Then there was the traditional lighting of the lamp led by the dignitaries present on the occasion. Later there was Saraswati Vandana, followed by SansthanGeet.
Welcoming the dignitaries and alumni, Mr Anuj Kumar (President, SRMS Alumni Association) presented the college report and highlighted the various milestones reached over the years.
Mr Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust) addressed the gathering and thanked the alumni for visiting their alma mater. He presented mementoes to alumni members to celebrate their achievements and recognize the honour they have brought to the College of Pharmacy.
Alumni members also shared their experience, recalling the time spent at the college and after graduation. The interactive session witnessed participation from pre-final and final year students of Bachelor of Pharmacy. The informative interaction was followed by a photo session. Then the alumni members presented a memento to Mr Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust) and thanked him for inviting them to their alma mater.
Mr Aditya Murti (Secretary, SRMS Trust) presented the vote of thanks. He thanked all the past students for attending the Alumni Meet and for making the event special and memorable. He appreciated the hard work put in by the teaching and non-teaching staff members and student volunteers who had worked tirelessly to organize the event. He also thanked the management team of SRMS for the support and guidance, which helped to make Alumni Meet 2018 a grand success.
