72nd Independence Day was celebrated at SRMSCET Unnao today i.eon 15 August, 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm by the faculty, staffs and students of the college. Doctors and staffs of SRMS Hospital Unnao also joined the function. The function started with the welcome address by MoC Mr Harsh Srivastava and Ms Adisha , students of second year by inviting the Director (Administration) Shri Shyamal Gupta, Principal of the college Dr Anant Srivastava and Medical Superintendent Dr Vikram for flag hoisting followed by National Anthem. Dr Anant Srivastava in his address to the gathering redefined the patriotism in the context of changing scenario. He said that we have to understand the patriotism with new context of emerging challenges where dedication towards profession is required from every individual by preserving our rich social values. It is the time to awake with actions to fight with inner evils which with the light of knowledge. In his address Shri Shyamal Gupta said that the time is for technology development to transform the economy.
On the occasion patriotic songs were performed by the students Anshuman Mishra and Shunetra Pathak along with a poetry on nationalism by Durga Prasad. Mr Saurabh Singh a student of B. Tech second year beautifully addressed the gathering with his speech.
