Conference on Computing & Informatics held at SRMS CETR

Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College Of Engineering Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly organized the 4th Computer Science National Conference on “Contemporary Research In Computing & Informatics” (NATCOM 2017) on March 25, 2017. The event was sponsored by CSI (Haridwar chapter). The event was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Shailesh Saxena who is the HOD of the Computer Science Engineering department of SRMS CETR.

The event was inaugurated by Chairman of SRMS Trust, Shri Dev Murti Ji. Also present were other dignitaries, including SRMS Trustee Aditya Murti Ji, Smt. Richa Murti, and Chief Guest Prof. M.N. Hoda, Director at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications & Management (BVICAM, New Delhi), Piyush Kapoor (Data Analytics – Analyst at NCR Corporation, Gurgaon), and Dr. Krishna Kumar (Professor, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar), and Dr. S S Bedi (Professor, MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly).

The main objective of the Conference was to highlight the technological imperatives that are shaping the world currently.

Prof. Mr. M.N. Hoda spoke about the various emerging research topics of computer science using his extensive experience and various testimonials. Mr. Piyush Kapoor and Dr. Krishna Kumar enlightened the students on different topics like “AGILE”, Artificial Neural Networks, and “HADOOP” which is an open source Java-based programming framework that supports the processing and storage of extremely large data sets in a distributed computing environment.

Several students of various colleges participated and presented their research work in the field of computer science.

The event concluded with a closing speech by SRMS CETR Principal, Dr. (Prof.) Anant Kumar Srivastava.
