FDP on MATLAB at SRMSCETR is a roaring success

An enriching Faculty Development Program on MATLAB was organized by SRMSCETR on 2nd of Feb. Mr. Nihal Ahmad, IQRA Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kanpur was at the helm of the program that was well attended by the faculty members and students of the institute alike. It offered participants an insight into the multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and fourth generation programming language that has gained in prominence in the industry.

Through these FDPs and workshops SRMSCETR does its best to offer its students a peek into the latest in the field and equip its faculty team with the know-how to maintain high standards of education. This FDP on Matrix Laboratory was held in the same vain and brought the experience of an expert professional to the fore. The session began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and worshipping of Goddess Saraswati.

Dr. Anant Kumar Srivastava, Principal of the institute then welcomed Mr. Nihal Ahmad, who talked about the importance of MATLAB in the field of research and industry. Students and Faculty members from EC, EE and CS departments who made their presence felt for the workshop in large numbers were engaged by the talk that had several important takeaways for them. They also interacted with the guest speaker to have their queries answered.

The workshop was divided into two technical sessions that made the participants aware of MATLAB Toolboxes like image processing, fuzzy logic, control system, and signal processing. They realized the functioning and crucial importance of these toolboxes for their research work in the future. Overall it was a hugely informative workshop that had something for everyone who is intrigued by the charm and benefits of MATLAB.
