Third and fourth year students of College of Pharmacy at SRMS CET, Bareilly had the privilege of listening to experts during a guest lecture on the topic of “Industrial Aspects for Pharmacy Graduates” held on the 21st of March, 2017. The noted speakers for the day included alum of the 2004 Batch Mr. Avinash Yadav. Mr. Yadav is currently a Drug Inspector at CDSCO, Indore. He was joined by Mr. Ajay Kumar, Government Analyst, Lucknow. Together, they shared their vast experience with students, offering them valuable insights into the many aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

The esteemed speakers were welcomed and introduced by Dr. Lalit Singh, Director, College of Pharmacy. It was a proud occasion for the college as one of their homegrown talents had returned as an industry expert to speak on the topic. Mr. Yadav ensured that his talk remained relatable to the students who are in a position he was in not too long ago. He talked about his personal experiences as he transitioned from a pharmacy student to a professional and then pursued his further studies to gain an upper hand in his career.

Mr. Yadav talked about the influence and contribution of his college, not only in his career but for his higher education as well. He encouraged students to make the most out of the opportunities they have and inspired them by saying, “Innovation is born from a Pharmacist.” He then made them aware of the career prospects that they have in front of them. Finally, he talked about the work responsibilities of a Drug Inspector and the significance of having a plan to achieve future goals.

As he gave them a roadmap to success, he also answered their questions making it an interactive session.
