It has been a little over a year since the ‘Startup India’ scheme was initiated by our hon’ble PM Mr.Narendra Modi on 16th January, 2016 to encourage entrepreneurship and job creation in India. In line with this initiative, the Training, Development & Placement Cell at SRMS Trust has established an ‘Innovation & Incubation Cell’, to cater to budding entrepreneurs. Incubators provide services to entrepreneurs, which helps them get through the initial hurdles in starting up a new venture. This Cell will act as a catalyst for students to both come up with innovative ideas and to refine ideas that they already have, helping in regional economic development.
The Cell was inaugurated at 03:15PM on 30th January, 2017 in SRMS CET, Bareilly. The Chief Guest Mr. Aditya Murti, Secretary, SRMS Trust inaugurated the Cell, enlightening attendees with his words of encouragement saying that he hoped the Cell would evoke the spark in all the students to come forward and add fervor to the glory of SRMS.
Mr. MANISH KUMAR, an alumni of 1999-2003 batch of SRMS CET – Bareilly presently working as Associate Principal, Corporate Audits and Assessment Group – Infosys Limited was present on this auspicious occasion. He also committed to provide all necessary guidance and support for the effective functioning of the Cell.
Mr. Anuj Kumar, Head – TDP Cell of SRMS Engineering Institutions expressed the thanks to Mr.Manish Kumar for his guidance and support in the establishment of Innovation & Incubation Cell.
Prof. Prabhakar Gupta, Dean – SRMS CET, Bareilly, Prof. A.K.Srivastava, Principal – SRMS CET&R, Bareilly, all the members of Innovation Council of SRMS Engineering Institutions, the HODs of various departments and the representatives of the students bodies i.e. Tyro & Verve were present on the occasion
