To inculcate & imbibe industrial expertise into the students, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly organized an industrial visit to Coal Based Rosa Thermal Power Plant, Rosa, Shahjahnpur, a venture of Reliance Industries.
T62 students of Mechanical Engineering 2014 batch along with two faculty members Ms Swapna Singh and Mr Ashish Kumar were hosted by Mr Chadrashekhar at Rosa Thermal Power Plant.
A presentation was given stating the operating parameters of the plant. Students were told that the plant has an installed capacity of 1200MW with 4x300MW generating units. The plant has a share of 10-11% (approx) in the total demand of Uttar Pradesh. The client of this plant is UPPCL. The session was concluded after taking up queries of students.
For better understanding, students were divided into four groups for the plant visit. During the plant visit they visited Boiler, Turbine and Generator section along with offsite of the plant. It was an enriching experience for students and faculty members as well.
