Workshop held at SRMS CETR, Bareilly sheds light on android application development and Ethical Hacking

Engineering Students of Computer Sciences and Electronics & Communications departments at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering Technology & Research, Bareilly were part of an informative workshop on ‘Network management and Ethical Hacking with Android’ that was held on 21st March. Organized by the CS department and guided by Mr. Shailesh Saxena, HOD – CS, IT department, the workshop was conducted by Mr. Santu Purkait, Director, Netcamp Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Purkait is considered to be an expert in the field and he brought his vast experience to the table during the workshop that was delivered in an engaging manner. The main aim of the workshop was to make students aware of android application development and networking along with ethical hacking concepts. And it served that purpose effectively.

A practical session on Android app development started the proceedings on a high note. It offered students hands-on experience of creating different types of mobile apps with multiple functions using a single platform. Second half of the workshop informed students about the basic issues encountered while working on a Network and Internet.

Mr. Purkait then talked about the pros and cons of Ethical Hacking in a professional setup. He also encouraged the students to discover their capabilities and start experimenting by making their own apps. He particularly urged them to utilize the concepts of Ethical Hacking for social benefit. Thus the workshop held in the presence of Dr. Anant Kr. Srivastava, Principal SRMS CETR and faculty members had important takeaways for all participants
