“I was quite looking forward to the life at the hostel because everyone talks about it so much. At SRMS IBS my expectations have been exceeded and I can now call it my home away from home. It has given me a sense of independence while making me feel comfortable at all times. It has added to the overall experience I am having at the institute.

If I want to let off steam or just want to take my mind off things then I can head to the badminton court in Girls’ hostel. The atmosphere is electric and we have a lot of fun on the courts. DJ nights have also become an integral part of our lives here. No occasion or celebration is complete without fun and lively music that reverberates through the place.

A hostel has to be comfortable for all students and I think ours is geared up towards that. The single occupancy rooms are ideal to be with yourself and focus on the studies when you want. The rooms are fully air conditioned, which is also a big relief when things hot up. The impeccable security system is a big relief and adds to the sense of safety around.

Of course hostel life is also about the rules and regulations but you have to understand that they are in place for a reason. For example, we aren’t allowed to go to each other’s room after 11 pm. That’s because they don’t want us to disturb each other or ruin the peaceful environment that has been created for us.

Right from LAN to keep us connected to finger print sensor machine for attendance, the hostel is packed with amenities that are meant to add value to student life. We have a calm place whenever we want to put our heads down and study. But at the same time it that is buzzing with excitement and the fun never stops.
