On the final day of the 5th North Zone Critical Care Conference and SRMS PulmoCrit, the programme started with a PG Poster Presentation session involving well-known experts. This was followed by 4 thematic sessions on Sepsis, Obstetric Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care, and Renal Sciences.

Over 25 medical practitioners, teachers, and researchers from acclaimed institutions from across the country participated as session chairperson and speaker on 7 October. The guest speakers spoke on a range of topics: from management of acute severe pancreatitis, prevention and management of AKI in critical care unit, and does procalcitonin have a role in diagnosis and management of sepsis to severe pre-eclampsia in ICU and hypersensitivity pneumonitis case based diagnosis and management. Organized by Department of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly in association with ISCCM, Bareilly Chapter, the 5th North Zone Critical Care Conference and SRMS PulmoCrit (5-7 October) offered a unique platform to engage speakers, delegates, and participants in diverse activities and discussions related to the healthcare sciences.

On 5 October, at the Workshop held in SRMS IMS, Bareilly, there was a Master Class on ABG (basics, interpretation, and case based scenarios), multiple sessions on crucial topics, and a keynote address. Over the two days (6 and 7 October) of the Conference held in Jim Corbett, Ramnagar, Nainital, there were 10 thematic sessions on a range of critical issues. More than 70 guest speakers and over 300 delegates participated in the Conference that showcased contemporary and futuristic trends in Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine to support improvement in patient treatment and teaching and training in the medical sciences.
