Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly started the Orientation Program AARAMBH from 10th November 2021 for the newly admiTed students of MCA (Batch of 2021). The major objective of the First day was to make the students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the college and ensuring participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
The session for MCA students began with the introduction of all the faculty members of MCA department which made the students familiar with the environment.
The next talk was delivered by Mr. Vijay Dubey – Assistant Professor, MCA who briefed about the Code of Conduct of the college. Afterwards, the session on Web Application Development was taken by Mr. Arvind Mishra – Assistant Professor, MCA for the Tech enthusiasts. The students learned about the fundamental web development skills which will help in developing the foundation and logic for Programming.
The next session was a guest lecture led by CA Vinay Krishna, CEO, PMSV Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. & Former Chairman of ICAI, Bareilly. He is a renowned Chartered Accountant with dynamic personality. He spoke on the purpose of life, orientation and the importance of transition of life : Quality, Education System , Strategic Decision Making skills and the value of time. Students enjoyed the session and interacted with the eminent speaker.
Further, the description about the various applications like student ERP, Student Portal and Website of the college.
The same was followed by the Campus to get a beTer feel of the place.
In addition to these sessions, an activity was organized named “Mind Games” for the students.
Overall, the first day of Orientation marked a successful beginning of a college session and helped the student to prepare themselves for a successful career with clear vision about what lies ahead and what can be achieved at the end of the course.

The Second day of the orientation program “AARAMBH” started with the address of Mr. Arvind Mishra – Assistant Professor, MCA. He guided about the top companies visited to SRMS and introduced about the alumni of MCA who has been placed in these companies. In addition, he further discussed about: live projects, webinars, online classes, case studies, plagiarism software, certifications etc.
Next Session was of Mr. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor MCA, who guided the students about the registration on Hacker Rank website after that he conducted a coding test of students on hacker rank.
further, the guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Deepak Srivastava, Retired GM from Baroda UP Gramin Bank. He focused on financial literacy and the microfinance sector. He motivated the students to make the best use of these academic years.
Dr. PankajAgarwal, Associate Professor-FMS, storming session for the students on the theme of “World Usability Day” making online world trustworthy.
Further a activity was organized by MCA & MBA final year students “Russian Scandal” which is a synonym of Chinese whisper. This was conducted to develop team building skills, listening skills. Each team was given a set of word which they had to pass on and at the end write all the words on a piece of paper. It helped the student to learn about grapevine communication.
All the students relished the activity to the full extent.

The third day of the orientation was all set with a brief discussion by Mr. Arvind Kumar Mishra (Asst. Prof. of MCA Department) about “Avenues in mobile application development” using Java & Android.
Next session taken by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey (Prof. of MCA Department) about “Career in Artificial Intelligence” such as Big Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Research Scientist, AI Data Analyst, Product Manager, AI Engineer, Robotics Scientist etc.
Most awaited session by our today’s Guest speaker Mr Jitendra Yadav (Senior Area Manager) in SBI life Insurance having more than 15 years of experience and Mr. Yogendra Singh (Area Manager) also associated with SBI Life Insurance, they shared their views on how important life insurance in every individual’s life, he further focused on security of life, financial backup and effective communication skills.
All the Students were very much clear and motivated by the speakers and got the opportunity to lend their life in right direction.
To sum up with this, the final year batch of MCA & MBA had organized engaging activity (‘Business Quiz”).
All embracing, students enjoyed the whole programme, shared their experience which was extremely encouraging.

The Fourth day of the Orientation Week “AARAMBH 2021” for the students of MCA ( Batch of 2021) begin with the spiritual Lecture of Guru Ji Shri Kishore ji Prabhu , ISKCON, New Delhi and Shree Radhye Shyam ji Maharaj and students got enlightened about the learning to find out the deeper meaning of life. He stated that “Student should prepare for global competition not for local competition.” and Material facilities should not be based on our happiness.
The lecture was followed by the Alumni Meet in which the Alumni of SRMS: Mr. Shubham Kumar – Territory Manager, Bharti Airtel, Rampur District., Mr. Shivam Shukla – Relationship Officer, Star Union Dai-Ichi, Mumbai and Mr. Satyam Kumar – Senior Associate, Genpact India Pvt. Ltd., Noida were heartily welcomed by the MCA Department. They had an interaction with the students about the simple rules for reaching one’s potential and guided the students regarding group discussions. The talk was inspiring and motivating for the students to pursue a more ulfilling career. They also shared their experiences so the students can learn more from them and be beTer in future.
Further, the session was led by Mr. Arvind Kumar Mishra who shared expert insights on topics covered in the Android class such as introduction to Android (what is Android, how applications are developed in Android IDE, the software needed to develop Android applications etc.), creation of emulator, and creation of project. Each student developed a small application and ran it through an Android cellphone to get practical insights on it.
The next event was “Ad- Mad Show” – Business Management Game. In this Activity, participants produced advertisement for a given product/ service in a proper way which was quite appealing to audience. The idea behind conducting this competition was to provide a platform to participants to explore their creativity and stage presence skills.
The students participated with a lot of enthusiasm and it was an excellent learning experience for them.

The Fifth day of the Orientation Week “AARAMBH 2021” for the students of MCA (Batch of 2021) began with the first session, conducted by Mr Sovan Mohanty, HOD (Electronics & Communication Engineering) who provided the overview of Communication and Winning of Arts to the students. He has also focused on various topics such as sign of war, rule book of a warrior, welfare strategy, lesson from the nature, methods of deception
The next session was conducted on Soft Skills by Ms. Swapnil Mishra – Assisstant Professor, MBA to determine the scope and competencies that were required to be developed at the Personality Enhancement Program with a strong focus on the finer aspects of Behavior skills, People skills and Presentation skills.
This was followed by the Guest Lecture led by Mr. R.D.S Yadav, Founder of Consulting firm Navaratarang HR Services in 2012. He has been associated with various B-Schools and Universities. He has also worked in organization for about 36+ years on different roles into HR Operations in reputed companies like JK Tyre, Birla Cement, Lohia Group, Ultra Tech Cement, Polyplex and few more. He focused on teaching students how to become the best product for the Organization and highlighted the importance of Business communication Skills and the value of time. He also added to think analytically and fulfill the expectations of family and society.
Further, the talk was continued by Mr. Alok Kumar Gupta (MCA alumni of 2008 batch) – Lead Developer, Amazon to motivate and inspire the students of regarding academics and its key of Success. He has also discussed on the topic of Campus life And Cooperate life, Academic excellence and also discuss about the FAANG Companies (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Google) .he has also highlighted the difference between Fix mind and Growth mind set. Finally he guided them about importance and benefits of education. Students were highly delighted as the session was full of fun, energy and learning.
The another Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Qadir Ahmad LLB, Diploma in Management, Served in HR Department for 43 years in Camphor and Allied Products Ltd, Bareilly. He is also Advisor for 5 years Associate with Rohilkhand Management Association, New Delhi for 20 years as Secretary. He advised all the students to work harder in life to get sure success. He also narrated one or two incidents to inspire the students.

16 November 2021, sixth day of the Orientation program week “AARAMBH” started with an ice breaker session by Dr. Mohammad Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Professor, MBA department, he conversed about entrepreneurship explaining innovation, creativity and business models with different instances. He further focused on different aspects of entrepreneurship skills.
Treasure Hunt called Mystery Unlocked was organized for MCA & MBA 1st year students, students played important role in success of this game as well as enjoyed this funfilled activity a lot.
Session ended with an informative session by Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics, SRMSCET, he delivered his lecture on Academic Ordinance. Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, Dr. Anuj Kumar, Director, Training, Development and Placement, and Dr. Ruchi Jain Garg, HOD, MBA Department presented prizes and certificates to the winners.

Last day of the orientation program “AARAMBH” for MCA 2021 students started with a session by Dr. Shobhit Kumar, Faculty, Department of MBA, on Human Values and Professional Ethics. He elaborated the difference between the moral values and ethical values along with the role of happiness in day to day life.
The next talk was delivered by Mr. Vijay Dubey – Assistant Professor, MCA who briefed about the “Introduction to DBMS”. The students learned about the Data, Information, Knowledge, uses of the DBMS, Advantages of DBMS and the Components of DBMS.
In addition to these sessions, an activity was organized named “Mario Games” for the MCA students. Students were highly delighted as the session was full of fun and energy.
Movie Big Bull was also shown to the students, this movie is a classic rag to riches story which is inspired by the true events of the Harshad Mehta Scam. Students got to know about Indian Stock Exchange also.
Overall, the final day of orientation programme helped the student to prepare themselves for a successful career with clear vision about what lies ahead and what can be achieved at the end of the course.
