AARAMBH – SRMS Orientation Programme of MBA – Day 5

Venue: MBA Seminar Hall and MCA Seminar Hall Faculty of Management Science, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly.

The Fifth day of the Orientation Week “AARAMBH 2021” for the students of MBA ( Batch of 2021) began with the session conducted by Dr. Mohd. Danish Chishti – Assistant Professor, MBA and Dr. Mohd. Salman Shamshi – Assistant Professor, MBA Department, who provided the overview of Finance, Operations and International Business specializations to the students and introduced students to concepts of the specializations using a more systematic approach than is generally found in textbooks.

After that, the a hands-on session on MS office was guided by Dr. Ruchi Jain Garg – HOD MBA Department and Ms Happy Sinha – Assistant Professor, MBA Department. The next session was conducted on Soft Skills by Ms. Swapnil Mishra – Assistant Professor, MBA Department, with a special focus on the finer aspects of behavior skills and presentation skills.

This was followed by the Guest Lecture led by Mr. R.D.S Yadav, Director, Navatarang HR Services. He gave tips to students on how to become the best product for the organization and highlighted the importance of business communication skills and the value of time. He further added to think analytically and fulfill the expectations of family and society.

To encourage learning and critical thinking in students, a Thematic Apperception Test named Narrative Unveiled was conducted by Dr. Pankaj Agarwal – Associate Professor, MBA Department. TAT evaluated patterns of thought, attitudes, and emotional responses to ambiguous test materials.

Another guest for the day was Mr. Qadir Ahmad, HR Advisor Rehber Food Industries and Secretary, Rohilkhand Management Association. He underlined the importance of training, positive attitude, and perceptions. He highlighted the behavioral traits, power of decision making, importance of time management and shared employment mantras.

In the end, the Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Rajul Sharma student of MBA 2020 batch.
