Vision:
SRMS provides the services in the field of basic research and to be a reliable equipment facility
centre for the advanced research and experimentation.
Mission:
To perform pharmaceutical research and train the new generation regarding instrumentation. SRMS
provides Quality Research Facilities for – Dissertation/ Project/ Training/ Internship for M. Pharm. and
B.Pharm. Students.
The laboratory is professionally designed, so as to provide pleasing, comfortable and safe working
environment for students, scholers and industry professionals. We provide reliable & unbiased analytical
services to the Academic Institution, Exports, Importers, Traders for Instrumental analysis, Wet Chemical
analysis, etc.
State of The Art Instrumentation Available
1. High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC): High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has
been widely used for years as an analytical method and is a key tool for the separation and analysis of
pharmaceutical drugs. HPLC is commonly used for the Separation and analysis of non-volatile
compounds.
Impurities profiling
Analysis of Active pharmaceutical ingredients
Detection of phytoconstituents present in plant extracts
Analytical Method Development & Validation Studies
2. UV/Visible Spectroscopy: UV/Vis spectroscopy is routinely used in analytical chemistry for the
quantitative determination of different analytes, such as transition metal ions, highly conjugated organic
compounds, and biological macromolecules. Spectroscopic analysis is commonly carried out in solutions
but solids may also be studied. It is also applicable for:
Identification of unknown compound
Quality control
To calculate maximum wavelength
Purity check

SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTIONS
BAREILLY
3. FTIR Spectroscopy: Fourier transform infrared, the preferred method of infrared spectroscopy. When
IR radiation is passed through a sample, some radiation is absorbed by the sample and some passes
through (is transmitted). It is applicable for:
The identification of unknown compounds
To analyze thin films and coatings
Contaminant identification—bulk and surface
4. Refrigerated Centrifuge:  Refrigerated centrifuge is laboratory equipment used for the separation of
micro liter temperature-sensitive heterogeneous mixtures or samples. This device works by spinning the
samples loaded in a rotor at high speed. It is for application where precise temperature control is critical,
or a lower internal temperature is required during operation.
