The season of fresher’s parties is here! This is the time when colleges begin to welcome ‘fuchchas’ and organize joyous celebrations. And one such fun-filled fresher’s party was organized recently at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly for the first year students of MBA, MCA, B Tech (CS, IT, ME, EC, EN, EE) and B Pharm. The fresher’s were given a hearty welcome by the seniors and faculty members, and it was an event full of cultural extravaganza.
The celebrations kicked off with Saraswati Vandana accompanied by Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony. Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Arti Gupta, Director of Pharmacy and Er Kapil Bhushan, Dean Student Welfare graced the inaugural event. The fresher’s party had spectrum of activities, wherein the celebrations began with mesmerizing cultural performances on singing, dancing, melodious and tuneful songs and realistic dramas, which was an icing on the cake. Added highlights of the event were Fashion Show and Mock-Rock, wherein participants took part with full zeal. However, the cultural extravaganza by students ignited the ambience with special warmth and delight, and was admired by everyone.
Later, the awaited address by Er Subhash Mehra motivated and generated the sense of ‘can’ in all the attendees of the event. Shashwat and Jaya Laxmi were the MOCs of the event. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vanshika Gupta, Secretary of Tyro Club.
