On Thursday Jan 28th 2021 during 11:00 AM – 12.00 PM in New Seminar Hall of SRMS CET Bareilly, Department of Mechanical Engineering held a Webinar on topic “Innovation, Improvisation, and Employment and Earning : Incremental Sheet Metal Forming An Example”. Key note speaker for the webinar was Dr. C. Sathiya Narayanan, Associate Professor, N.I.T., Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India.
MOC for the event was Ms Parul Dixit, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department. She started the event with formal welcome of Guest & Participants. After that Er. Shailendra Deva, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department gave his welcome address. Dr. S Ananth, Professor Mechanical Engineering Department introduced the theme of the webinar.
In his address Dr. C. Sathiya Narayanan talked about the modern engineering world, technological advancement in manufacturing technologies to handle market requirement of sheet metal forming industries. He said that Incremental sheet metal forming (ISMF) has created significant scientific attention. The process is agile, highly flexible and it able to handle the market requirement. His talk was mainly focused on understanding the ISMF process, their key features, and parameter influencing the process, advantage, disadvantage and application.
