Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly recently organized an informative workshop on Agile Software Development Methodology and SDLC Documentation led by expert professionals from Tata Consultancy Services, Lucknow. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Vishal Seth and Mr. Sandeep Joshi are considered specialists in their field. They engaged with students on the latest software development methodology and documentation being used in the industry today.
Mr. Vishal Seth started the proceedings by introducing Agile Methodology used for software development today. Comparing it with traditional software development methodology, he then identified the differences for students. From working processes to specific terms related to Agile including sprint, scrum, product backlog, scrum master, and product owner, the session covered important aspects of the methodology.
The second session on SDLC Documentation was led by Mr. Sandeep Joshi. To offer context, he first spoke of Software Development Life Cycle and then focused on the required documentation. Alongside the requirement for documentation, students learnt about the relevance of documents like Software Requirement Specification (SRS) and Business Relationship Document (BRD) in various stages of the life cycle.
The engaging workshop concluded with a Question & Answer session, which witnessed active participation from students to get their doubts cleared and queries answered. In all, the workshop constituted highly relevant learning for students to enhance domain knowledge and keep abreast of latest developments.
