Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly conducted a fun-filled ‘Zero Hour Activity’ on March 23, 2023, in the form of ‘8 Ball Pool’ match for Boys and ‘Table Tennis' match for Girls, in the presence of Sports Instructor Renu Bora. The students were spotted buzzing with excitement as they eagerly awaited the start of such activities that promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among the students. Such an activity gave them a productive break, which enhances the capacity to think, learn, focus, and contribute to academics.
The 8 Ball Pool game was organized into two segments. In a first, direct knockout in a 2 vs 2 format was conducted, which was followed by the second segment of 1 vs 1 format. The participants showcased their skills with precision. The game required strategic planning, accuracy, and quick reflexes. After rounds of competition, Devansh Patel, Batch 2020 was the winner, while Sartaj Raza & Mohd Farhan of Batch 2020 were the first & second runners-up respectively.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ section, the table tennis competition was in full swing. The girl participants had an equally exhilarating time, rallying the ball back and forth, and trying to score points. The participants displayed their skills with elegance and grace, drawing cheers from the enthusiastic crowd. Based on knockout method, Charu Jethawni, Batch 2020 bagged the first prize, while the runner up was Vinita Joshi, Batch 2020. Later, the winners of both the Zero Hour activities were appreciated and felicitated.
