The Value Addition Cell<\/strong> & Department of Computer Science & Engineering<\/strong> <\/a> at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET)<\/strong> <\/a> & SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly<\/strong> <\/a> organized a Computer Proficiency Quiz<\/strong> for first- & second-year B Tech <\/strong> students to commemorate National Youth Day.<\/strong> Held under the aegis of IIC<\/strong>, the quiz evaluated student\u2019s knowledge of computer fundamentals, coding skills & programming concepts; and encouraged their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills & technical expertise.<\/p>\n

The quiz, conducted in two rounds \u2014 Preliminary & Main (final)<\/strong>, tested student\u2019s proficiency, where, Preliminary round saw participation of over 30 teams, with top 10 teams being shortlisted for final round that was further divided into three sub-rounds. However, each team was asked five questions on general computer & programming concepts in round-1;pen & paper round (round-2) having teams solving programming questions based on C, C++ & Python; while round-3, the buzzer round, witnessed teams identifying the images displayed on screen.<\/p>\n

Towards the end, winners were announced, wherein, Mohd Kashif & Yashraj Sharma (CETR), Aditya Pathak & Raghav Sahni (CET), and Neetu Sahu & Dev Saxena (CET)<\/strong> from first-year clinched first, second & third prize each; while Nandini Agarwal & Lakshya Loungani (CET), Ankita Singh & Ayush Gupta (CET), Harshit Singh Katiyar and Priyanshu (CET)<\/strong> from second-year bagged first, second & third prize respectively.<\/p>\n

Dr Prabhakar Gupta,<\/strong> <\/a> Principal, SRMS CET; Dr Shailendra Deva<\/strong> <\/a>, Vice-Principal, CET; Dr LS Maurya<\/strong> <\/a>, Head, CSE department; Dr Ritu Singh<\/strong> <\/a>, Head, Basic Science department; Ashish Agarwal<\/strong> <\/a>, Faculty Coordinator, IT department and other faculties were also present.<\/p>\n
