{"id":19594,"date":"2025-01-24T14:49:01","date_gmt":"2025-01-24T09:19:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cetr\/?p=19594"},"modified":"2025-01-24T14:49:01","modified_gmt":"2025-01-24T09:19:01","slug":"srms-engineering-institutes-organised-computer-proficiency-quiz-for-btech-students-fostering-technical-excellence-analytical-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cetr\/srms-engineering-institutes-organised-computer-proficiency-quiz-for-btech-students-fostering-technical-excellence-analytical-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"SRMS ENGINEERING INSTITUTES ORGANISED COMPUTER PROFICIENCY QUIZ FOR BTECH STUDENTS, FOSTERING TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE &#038; ANALYTICAL SKILLS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Value Addition Cell<\/strong> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cet\/departments\/dept-of-computer-science-engineering\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">Department of Computer Science &#038; Engineering<\/strong> <\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cet\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">SRMS College of Engineering &#038; Technology (CET)<\/strong> <\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cetr\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">SRMS College of Engineering, Technology &#038; Research (CETR), Bareilly<\/strong> <\/a> organized a <strong>Computer Proficiency Quiz<\/strong> for first- &amp; second-year <strong>B Tech <\/strong> students to commemorate <strong> National Youth Day.<\/strong> Held under the aegis of <strong>IIC<\/strong>, the quiz evaluated student\u2019s knowledge of computer fundamentals, coding skills &amp; programming concepts; and encouraged their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills &amp; technical expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The quiz, conducted in two rounds \u2014 <strong>Preliminary &amp; Main (final)<\/strong>, tested student\u2019s proficiency, where, Preliminary round saw participation of over 30 teams, with top 10 teams being shortlisted for final round that was further divided into three sub-rounds. However, each team was asked five questions on general computer &amp; programming concepts in round-1;pen &amp; paper round (round-2) having teams solving programming questions based on C, C++ &amp; Python; while round-3, the buzzer round, witnessed teams identifying the images displayed on screen.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end, winners were announced, wherein, <strong>Mohd Kashif &amp; Yashraj Sharma (CETR), Aditya Pathak &amp; Raghav Sahni (CET), and Neetu Sahu &amp; Dev Saxena (CET)<\/strong> from first-year clinched first, second &amp; third prize each; while <strong>Nandini Agarwal &amp; Lakshya Loungani (CET), Ankita Singh &amp; Ayush Gupta (CET), Harshit Singh Katiyar and Priyanshu (CET)<\/strong> from second-year bagged first, second &amp; third prize respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cet\/product\/prof-dr-prabhakar-gupta\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">Dr Prabhakar Gupta,<\/strong> <\/a> Principal, SRMS CET; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cet\/product\/dr-shailendra-deva\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">Dr Shailendra Deva<\/strong> <\/a>, Vice-Principal, CET; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srms.ac.in\/cetr\/faculty\/laxmi-shanker-maurya\/\"><strong style=\"color: blue;\">Dr LS Maurya<\/strong> <\/a>, Head, CSE department;
