In remembrance of the brave, the Literary Club<\/strong> of Student Club \u2018Verve\u2019<\/em><\/strong> at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CET&R), Bareilly <\/strong>organized a solemn tribute to the 40 brave CRPF soldiers<\/strong> who sacrificed their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack<\/strong>, marking it as the \u2018Black Day\u2019 of India<\/strong>. The event aimed to remind students of the true value of freedom and the price paid to protect the nation.<\/p>\n

The ceremony began with an address by Shikhar Mehrotra<\/strong>, B Tech 3rd<\/sup> year student, and the Literary Chairperson of the Verve Club, followed by a two-minute silence as a mark of deep respect and mourning. This was followed by Pushpanjali<\/em>,<\/em> where students and faculty paid floral tributes to the martyrs. A video showcasing the courage and hardships of the Indian Armed Forces deeply moved the audience. Arijit Bhatnagar<\/strong>, another B Tech CSE third-year student also shared a heartfelt message, urging everyone remain conscious of the sacrifices made by our armed forces and to never take freedom for granted.
\nThe tribute concluded with the National Anthem, echoing a sense of pride, unity, solidarity and patriotism throughout the campus.<\/p>\n
