The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology and Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly<\/strong> organized a \u2018Cricket\u2019<\/strong> match in the back field of the campus on January 19th ,2023, as a part of \u2018Zero Hour Activity\u2019<\/strong>, wherein two teams of first- and second-yearstudents participated excitedly to the hilt in the cricket ground, which had been well prepared to play the enthusiastic match.
\nThe match kick-started in the presence of SRMS CET&R Principal, Professor Dr LS Maurya; Chief Proctor Dr Rajeev Kumar Pandey and all the faculty members. The match commenced with the tossing of coin won by the second-year student\u2019s team, who decided to bowl first. The opening batsmen from first-year team played magnificently, and gave a good start, which was quite a challenge for the opposite team with a target score of 40 runs in 5 overs.However, both the teams showcased the best of their sporty-side, and were fierce competitors.
\nFinally, the first-year team students won the match by 10 runs with 5 wickets in hand, which included Prasoon Singh, Adil, Tarun Singh, Praveen, Ram Rastogi, Mohammad Saif, Abhinav Kanaujiya, Harsh Kumar, Aryan, Yash Sharma, Ravindra andShivam.
\nLater, the winning team was given a Certificate of Appreciation. The audience that included students and faculties, had a meticulous time watching the match.
