SRMS ENGINEERING &#038; RESEARCH COLLEGE HOSTS \u2018MERA PEHLA VOTE DESH KE LIYE\u2019 CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE VOTING AWARENESS!"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>With an aim to promote electoral literacy among youth, the <strong>Verve Club <\/strong>at<strong> Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology and Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly<\/strong> recently organized a <strong>VOTING AWARENESS Programme<\/strong> under <strong>&#8216;Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye&#8217; campaign<\/strong>, which is a joint initiative of <strong>Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, and Election Commission of India<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The main objective was to engage &amp; encourage young voters to exercise their democratic right responsibly, emphasizing the importance of voting for the larger good of the nation. However, the campaign aimed to encourage young voters to participate in elections while fostering a competitive &amp; collaborative environment through engaging competitions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The event began with pledge-taking ceremony, where <strong>Dr LS Maurya, Principal SRMS CETR<\/strong>, along with heads, faculty members, staff &amp; students, solemnly took the pledge that was administered by <strong>Er Ankit Khandelwal, DSW<\/strong>. Together, everyone present vowed to exercise their democratic rights. Following the pledge, students were shown a number of inspirational films to explain them the value of their \u2018<strong>Vote\u2019 <\/strong>as well as \u2018<strong>Right to Vote\u2019<\/strong>. Thereafter, <strong>Quiz competition<\/strong> based on the <strong>Constitution of India<\/strong> took place that engaged participants in a fun &amp; educational manner.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Towards the end, while acknowledging the importance of <strong>social media<\/strong> &amp;<strong> hashtags,<\/strong> a selfie station was also set up in college premises, wherein students &amp; faculty members were encouraged to take pictures &amp; post them on social media, and create reels using hashtags such <strong>as #MeraPehlaVoteDeshKeLiye, #ChunavKaParv, #DeshKaGarv, #VoteForSure<\/strong> and so on, amplifying the campaign&#8217;s reach &amp;
