With an aim to promote electoral literacy among youth, the Verve Club <\/strong>at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology and Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly<\/strong> recently organized a VOTING AWARENESS Programme<\/strong> under ‘Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye’ campaign<\/strong>, which is a joint initiative of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, and Election Commission of India<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

The main objective was to engage & encourage young voters to exercise their democratic right responsibly, emphasizing the importance of voting for the larger good of the nation. However, the campaign aimed to encourage young voters to participate in elections while fostering a competitive & collaborative environment through engaging competitions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The event began with pledge-taking ceremony, where Dr LS Maurya, Principal SRMS CETR<\/strong>, along with heads, faculty members, staff & students, solemnly took the pledge that was administered by Er Ankit Khandelwal, DSW<\/strong>. Together, everyone present vowed to exercise their democratic rights. Following the pledge, students were shown a number of inspirational films to explain them the value of their \u2018Vote\u2019 <\/strong>as well as \u2018Right to Vote\u2019<\/strong>. Thereafter, Quiz competition<\/strong> based on the Constitution of India<\/strong> took place that engaged participants in a fun & educational manner.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Towards the end, while acknowledging the importance of social media<\/strong> & hashtags,<\/strong> a selfie station was also set up in college premises, wherein students & faculty members were encouraged to take pictures & post them on social media, and create reels using hashtags such as #MeraPehlaVoteDeshKeLiye, #ChunavKaParv, #DeshKaGarv, #VoteForSure<\/strong> and so on, amplifying the campaign’s reach & impact.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
