Induction Programme at SRMS CETR

One week Induction Programme was carried out in SRMSCETR from 24th November 2020 with the objective to make students feel comfortable in their New Environment, open them up, set up health routine and create bonding in the batch as well as with the faculty. Programme was also used to sensitize students towards exploring their academic interest and making them work for excellence. Students were acclimatized with the Ethos and Culture of the Institution.

Induction Programme covered following aspects:

Association

The programme started with the role and importance of Basic Science Department. Further they were told how to embark in their new journey and they were also introduced to Legacy of SRMS.

Different sessions were arrange to introduce them to Basics and Computer Science Stream such as opportunity and applications of CS branch, Cyber Crime, Programming awareness, Relevance of C and Java, Industrial Training, Importance of Internship, miniprojects/projects, 3DPrinting and PLC activity.

Apart from this we had Guest Lectures by Eminent people like Prof. Prabhakar Gupta, Prof.Anuj Kumar and Dr. Ruchi Jain.

Governance

Students were made aware about their dos and don’ts and were introduced to culture of college and hostel life.

Experience

They were introduced to self-exploratory sessions so that they become aware of their aspirations and expectation and how they can be in harmony with self, relation, society and nature.

Literary activities such as Essay writing, Quiz/Puzzle, Debate, Story sharing, Caricature and Extempore were organized.

Some sports activity were also organized as per interest of students.

Socialization

Students had an interaction with senior students who guided them as to how they can become more presentable and placeable. Senior students also made them aware about the students club i.e. Verve.

Induction programme ended with experience sharing by new entrants.

The students were suggested and motivated to raise their grasping power, versatility and competency. It was stressed that in order to survive in an industry they need to have positive attitude, skills and knowledge.
