‘Education is an Ornament in Prosperity and a Refuge in Adversity’

Abiding by these words of the great Aristotle, the “Institution of Engineers (India), Bareilly Local Center – IEI BLC” organized the final round of the TEQUI 2k18 i.e, the technical quiz in the campus of SRMSCET, Bareilly. The preliminary rounds were held in SSVGI, Bareilly, of which a total of 8 teams qualified for the final round. The qualified teams were SRMSCET, MIT Moradabad, CMM-A, CMM-B, CAM-A, CAM-B, SSVGI-A, SSVGI-B. The event took place on the behalf of eminent guests Chairman of Institute of Engineers (India) Bareilly Local Center; Trust Administrator Er. Subhash Mehra, Er. Sudhir Gupta, dean academics Dr. Prabhakar Gupta and dean student welfare Er. Santosh khare. The event started with auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana sung by the students. After which Er. Subhash Mehra commenced the event officially and introduced the students about the event. The Institute of Engineers (India) is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology across the globe. Also, it is the world’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional’s society in engineering and technology world with a membership of more than 9 decades. And to inspire the students for enhancing their knowledge this quiz was organized. Dr. Prabhakar Gupta dean academics motivated students before the quiz was started.

In beginning the rules and the marking criteria for the quiz was clearly explained to the teams. The quiz was conducted in the software built by Mr. Chandrahas. Different rounds of aptitude, reasoning, maths, IT and mechanical were asked to the teams. Quiz master for the quiz was Er. Sudhir Gupta. The quiz not only involved the participating teams but also the audiences. They were not only excited but were also very interacting in giving the unanswered questions for which they were awarded. The questionnaire ended with a rapid fire round after which the winners were announced. MIT Moradabad grabbed the first place with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 followed by SRMSCET Bareilly that won the cash prize of Rs.3,000 and the second runner up was the first team of CAM with a cash prize of Rs,2000.With this the event came to an end serving the motto of the quiz mania.
