Few human beings are unforgettable and late Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam is one such individual! Having inspired generations of people across the globe, Dr. Kalam has been a source of noble ideas and encouragement for millions of us. Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly gave him a tribute on 27th July, 2017 in his style.
Dr. Kalam always believed in creating a sustainable environment and working towards a green planet. SRMS CETR made a small effort in the same direction by organizing a tree plantation ceremony in the institute. 15 plants were planted by students and for each plant one student has been assigned for next one year in order to effectively nurture and look after it. Next year, the responsibility of the planted trees would be transferred to the junior students. Following the tree plantation ceremony, an Oath ceremony was also organized in which all the staff members and students took an oath to protect the environment, protect the values in society, nurture peace and harmony in the society, protect the society from evil forces, maintain self discipline, respect for nation and its law along with love and compassion for all human beings on this earth.
This program was under the flagship of A.K.T.U University responsible for providing value based technical education throughout the country. The Event was also covered by leading Hindi news papers of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh region.
