Department of Pharmacy at SRMS CET, Bareilly organized an Industrial Visit to Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals (Pure & Cure), Haridwar on May 23-24, 2023, wherein 37 B Pharm pre-final year students and faculties Kumar Abhinav and Aafreen of SRMS CET visited the industrial site, which was a great learning experience.
The B Pharm students and faculties of SRMS CET received a grand welcome and were briefed about the industrial company by Rahul Chauhan, Plant HR and Ashish Thapliyal, Manager-Operational Excellence. The students are divided in two batches for the visit and brief introduction about various sections of the plant like Warehouse, Raw material section, Production (Tablets, capsule, sachets), Packing section, Water Treatment Plant, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs was given to all the students in detail that gave them immense practical exposure. The functioning of the various machinery related to the unit operations of the production block were also explained to the students. The visit was quite successful that provided firsthand knowledge about the organizational structures and the workflow within the departments.
