Late Shri Ram Murti Ji was a veteran freedom fighter, distinguished politician and devoted social activist whose life embodied the Gandhian principles of selfless service and nation-building.
He took an active part in India’s independence movement, pursued legal education and dedicated decades of his life to public service — serving in the U.P. Legislative Assembly from 1946 to 1977, and representing Bareilly in the Lok Sabha in 1977.
Across nineteen years in ministerial positions, he championed agricultural development and led international missions to adopt best practices from around the world. The SRMS Trust was founded to carry forward his ideals of accessible education and quality healthcare for every citizen.
