Advocates of breast cancer awareness ran the Marathon for the Cure at SRMS IBS Lucknow on Saturday 10 February. Dressed in pink or wearing the pink ribbon symbolizing awareness, students and faculty members joined in to express moral support and solidarity. Representing breast cancer advocacy and the social movement that supports it, Pink ribbon culture is also concerned with the larger issue of women’s health. Students enthusiastically participated in the event and shared their thoughts on preventing breast cancer.
