The 8th SRMS Pulmocrit Conference (November 14-17, 2024) culminated on a high note at Jim Corbett, Ramnagar with thematic sessions & didactic lectures by leading experts across India; Poster & oral presentations along with insightful panel discussions. Organized by Department of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), in association with ISCCM Bareilly Chapter, the conference themed ‘Artificial Intelligence in Pulmonary & Critical Care’ was lauded for its collaborative learning experience & unparalleled networking opportunities.
The 4-day conference saw plenary sessions with strong focus on integration of AI in healthcare, hands-on workshops on POCUS, Mechanical Ventilation & ECMO along with multiple Scientific Deliberations. The last two days of conference at Jim Corbett, Ramnagar witnessed thematic sessions on Critical Care-Fluid & Hemodynamics, Antimicrobial Therapy, Drugs in ICU, Future Trends in Critical Care, Obstetric and Nephro Critical Care, Lung Transplant- practice & challenges etc. Added highlight was a rapid-fire round with 10-minutes presentation & 2-minutes Q & A on topics like Sodabicarb in ICU, Newer Drugs for Super Bugs in Indian context, case-based discussions on viral ARDS, Integration of Palliative with Intensive care etc.
Initially, the conference was inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Chief Guest Padma Bhushan Dr BK Rao, Former Chairman, NABH & Board of Management of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi; Guest of Honor Dr Narendra Rungta, Past President-ISCCM, National Chairman-IAP & Founder President-SAARC Critical Care Society in the presence of Professor Dr Lalit Singh, Head & Dr Rajeev Tandon, Professor—at Department of Respiratory & Critical Care; HODs of various IMS departments etc.
