Emphasizing preventive care & early detection, Chief Guest SAUMYA AGARWAL, IAS, Commissioner, Bareilly Division & President, Akanksha Samiti, and Guest of Honor Dr Vishram Singh, CMO, Bareilly inaugurated SRMS HPV VACCINATION CLINIC & HEALTH ATM at SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly.
This Cervix Cancer Vaccination & Awareness initiative, under AAYUSHI CAMPAIGN, highlighted HPV Vaccine’s role in preventing genital warts, wherein, 16 girls (aged 9-14) from SRMS IMS & Bhairpura village received free vaccine doses. Nukkad-Natak was an added highlight, reaching 200+ girls/women at Bhairpura village.
Aditya Murti , Director Administration SRMSIMS in his welcome address said, “Our focus on cervical cancer vaccination is just the beginning of a larger effort to address women’s health across communities. Support from Akanksha Samiti has further strengthened our resolve to contribute to public health & welfare.”
Commissioner Saumya Agarwal said, “The launch of HPV Vaccination Clinic & Health ATM is a noble initiative by SRMSIMS towards safeguarding women & young girls’ health. Akanksha Samiti is privileged to be associated with this life-saving effort.”
CMO Dr Vishram Singh emphasised on women’s health education, personal hygiene & nutrition. The event was graced by Rashika Jag Pravesh,w/o Jag Pravesh, IAS, CDO, Bareilly; Diksha Bhandari, DFO; Yogesh Patel, Block Head, Bhojipura; Dr Rajni Agarwal, Secretary, Akanksha Samiti; Vibha Arora, Social Worker; Shalu Goel; Dr (Air Marshal) MS Butola , Principal IMS & Dr RP Singh, MS , along with Asha workers & Akanksha Samiti members. Earlier, Dr Manoj Kumar Tangri, Gynae-Oncologist gave a presentation on HPV virus, its prevention & treatment. Later, Aditya Murti felicitated Saumya Agarwal & Dr Vishram Singh with mementos.
