Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology SRMS IMS successfully organized CME cum Workshop on Pediatric & Neonatal Ventilation : Art & Science titled “VENTART 2015†ON 14 &15feb 2015 at SRMS IMS Bareilly. This 2 day academic feast nurtured the skills of upcoming pediatricians and practitioners under the expert guidance of renowned pediatric intensivists & neonatologists. Around 150 delegates participated from all across the country with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event was inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS IMS on 14 feb 2015. In his inaugural address he stressed on the need of dedication & devotion of doctors especially pediatricians while treating these tiny bundles of joy. He also stressed on the judicious use of mechanical ventilation to all needy children & their constant monitoring to reduce neonatal & infant mortality rate.
Dr. Atul Agarwal,President UP IAP delivered the key note address. Both national & international faculties imparted hands on training to all delegates in mechanical ventilation & central line insertion.
Dr.Sunil Ahuja, Pediatric Intensivist from Franklin Square Hospital California, U.S.A furnished theconcepts on respiratory physiology & Rapid Sequence Intubation. The success of event was reflected by full participation of the delegates & the budding pediatricians which may prove a boon in bringing down the mortality of infants and children & in improving our health statistics.
