DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPAEDICS
Department of Orthopaedics in SRMSIMS Bareilly has state of art facilities of all type of orthopaedics surgeries. Orthopaedic ward has 60 beds which are fully equipped for Trauma care.
Department has OPD facilities including minor OT, portable X-Ray facility, POP room, Seminar room and consulting rooms. Department is organizing five special clinics in the form of fracture clinic twice a week, Arthroscopy clinics twice a week, Arthroplasty twice a week and spine clinics twice a week, Peadiatrics three days in week.
There is one fully equipped orthopaedic operation Theatre and one infected OT, It has two dedicated image intensifier, arthroscopic equipments and operative microscope. It has also facility of CCTV for teaching purposes. Add new under water electric coutary machine (RF) for arthroscopic surgery.
Dept is providing super specialty services in orthopaedic surgery are from routine Trauma and Bone and joint surgeries. It has following facilities-
Trauma Update-2015
Department of Orthopaedics, SRMSIMS, Bareilly (UP) has organized CME entitled “Trauma Update 2015” on 5th April, 2015. Trauma update 2015 was organized successfully under the aegis of UPOA on 5th April 2015 at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences Bareilly, UP. The CME schedule was divided into 5 academic sessions. There were 5 guest faculties including Dr. Mukesh Jain from Muzaffarnagar, Dr. Ravi Mittal and Dr. Vivek Trikha from AIIMS- Delhi, Dr. Pushkar Chawla from ISIC, Delhi and Dr. Anup Khare from Agra. Total 115 delegates from Bareilly and nearby towns participated in this CME.
Cadeveric Workshop on LS Spine Instrumentation
The division of neurosurgery and Department of Orthopedics in collaboration with Bareilly Neuro Association organized one day cadaveric workshop on LS spine instrumentation on 19thNovember, 2016. The workshop was conducted with aim of imparting training to spinal surgeons – the techniques of spinal stabilization and to discuss day to day problems encountered in spinal instrumentation.
The chief faculties invited wer Prof. Dr. A.K. Singh , Director – MAX institute of Neurosciences, Dehradun and Dr. A.k. Shrivastava, Associate Professor, Neurosurgery, SGPGI, Lucknow. The activity started with orientation talk on surgical and radiological anatomy of spine. This was followed by cadaveric workshop in which participants introduced them to finner aspects of surgical intricacies.
