To celebrate the 22nd Foundation Day of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly, a grand 6-Day HEALTH FAIR from JULY 3-8 that was conducted for Geriatric group — 60 years & above at SRMS IMS culminated, receiving an overwhelming response from the elderly & senior citizens. The Health Fair, inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, offered FREE OF COST comprehensive health check-ups & tests on Sugar, Hemoglobin, Creatinine, ECG, X-Ray, Bone test (BMD), Hearing test (Audiometry), Pap smear, Eye test, and Cataract & Glaucoma Screening, along with 25% discount on other tests. The fair was a great opportunity for elderly to receive expert advice on SENIOR HEALTH CONCERNS from the dedicated team of medical experts at SRMS IMS.
The highlights of 6-Day Health Fair were enlightening sessions & awareness talks delivered by senior-most medical professionals on various health concerns, wherein, from Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr Shashi Bala Arya, Professor & HOD & Dr Mridu Sinha spread awareness on pregnancy-related problems, essential precautions during pregnancy, timely body check-ups, ultrasound etc. Assistant Professor, Dr Sugandhi Sharma from Department of Community Medicine organized an insightful Health Talk on ‘The need to modify our dietary habit’ in the presence of Dr Huma Khan, Head & Professor; Dr Abhinav Pandey, Assistant Professor; Dr Palak Goyal (JR 2) & Dr Pankaj Garg (JR1). The last two days of fair saw Dr Rajneesh Kumar, Assistant professor, Department of General Medicine shedding light on diabetes, hypertension, thyroid conditions, liver disease, healthy diet, common health concerns & the dire need to undergo lifestyle modifications. Dr Shipra Tripathi, Associate Professor & Dr Mitali Yadav, JR-2 from Department of Ophthalmology also provided insights on ‘Eye Problems in Geriatric Population and its effective treatments’.
Overall, the 6-day Health Fair at SRMS IMS concluded with tremendous success, providing a golden opportunity to senior citizens to access vital healthcare services for a healthy lifestyle.
