𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 & 𝐆𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 in collaboration with 𝐑𝐑 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 organized a 𝐂𝐌𝐄 𝐨𝐧 ‘𝐆𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲—𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬’ under the aegis of 𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐈, featuring insightful sessions by leading gynae-oncologists across India.

The CME was inaugurated by 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Chairman, SRMS Trust, who emphasized upon importance of women’s health that often goes unnoticed. 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢, Director Administration; 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐒 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐚, Principal SRMSIMS; Organizing Chairpersons-𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, Director, RR Cancer Institute & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐫𝐲𝐚, Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology; 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, Dean PG; 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠, Dean UG; 𝐃𝐫 (𝐂𝐨𝐥) 𝐑𝐏 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡, Medical Superintendent were also present.

CME kicked-off with a talk on ‘Anatomy of Pelvis & Retroperitoneum’ by Professor Dr Sanjay Sharm from AFMC, Pune. Dr Raju Agarwal, Gynae Onco-surgeon at Command Hospital Central Command, Lucknow spoke on ‘Counseling & Risk reduction strategies in women with history of Gynae Cancers’. Thereafter, Dr P Sreenivasa Rao, Gynae-oncologist, Ayaansh Hospital, Bangalore; Professor Dr Shalini Singh from SGPGIMS Lucknow; Dr Sunil Pasricha, Sr Consultant Onco-pathologist, RGCI Delhi & Dr Amul Kapoor, HOD Department of Medical Oncology, Army Hospital (R&R) Delhi delivered fruitful sessions. Professor Dr JK Goel from Saraswati Medical College, Hapur. Dr Bikram Bhardwaj, Gynae Onco-surgeon, Army Hospital (R&R) Delhi moderated a panel discussion.

The esteemed guest, Dr Rupinder Sekhon, President AGOI & Gynae Oncologist at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram & Dr (Prof) Nisha Singh, VP AGOI & Unit Head-cum-In-charge Genital Cancer Control Unit at KGMU, Lucknow spoke on ‘Vulval Cancer’ & ‘CA Endometrium’ respectively. Dr Ruchica Goel, IVF Specialist at SRMSIMS highlighted upon onco-fertility. Organizing Secretary, Dr Manoj Kumar Tangri, Gynae-Oncologist delivered a vote of thanks.
