SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly (SRMS IMS) feels proud to share the news of a complicated case that was recently handled successfully by our very own Dr HARSHIT AGARWAL, Assistant Professor at Department of Emergency & Trauma Services and Trauma & Emergency Surgeon at SRMS IMS, Bareilly.
Despite the complexity of the situation, he performed a surgery on a patient, Gautam Yadav, who was brought in with a foreign body in situ, which was lodged just beneath the heart and anterior to the aorta, near the esophagus. This was a complex case that required extreme precision and skill. But thanks to Dr Harshit’s expertise and years of experience in the field, the surgery was a resounding success, wherein the case was managed with Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) and foreign body was extracted out. What's even more remarkable is that the patient was discharged on Day-3, without any need for post-operative ICU care, which is a testament to Dr Harshit Agarwal's outstanding and best possible care and attention for his patients.
