National Conference hosted by SRMS IBS is a rousing success with massive participation and crucial takeaways

The one-day National Conference on the theme “Emerging Trends Influencing Business & Management in the Current Era” organized by SRMS IBS was a huge success. Held on 1st Feb, the conference saw the presence of leading academics from the country. Dr. BK Bajpai, Professor and Director, Giri Institute of Development Studies and Shri BRG Upadhyaye, DGM State Bank of India were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour of the conference respectively. They were joined by Dr. BL Bajpai, Ex Head, Department of Business Administration, Lucknow University as the Special Guest.

The conference stressed on a wide range of topics including globalization, demographic alterations, technological changes on the employment market, education and smart work for the benefit of all participants. In his inaugural address, Prof. Shyamal Gupta highlighted the issues that are affecting business and management. In his engaging talk, Dr. BK Bajpai discussed his thesis work on Agricultural Economics. Getting insights into the grim situation for farmers was an eye-opener. He then asserted the need of looking at the rural economics of Indian villages, and urged students to adopt villages on “one student one village” principle.

Shri BRG Upadhyaye congratulated the organizers about hosting a conference on a topic that is highly relevant to today’s business scenario. Highlighting the importance of technology he admitted that the theory of “survival of the fittest” applies to current scenario, and added that one must be ready to adapt to change as it comes. Dr. BL Bajpai then raised another important issue of tolerance in every sphere of life. He stressed that India is the only country with unity in diversity and we must preserve it with our views. The conference offered many such interesting perspectives for participants to think about through the day.

Shri Dev Murti Ji, Chairman, SRMS Trust took to the stage and focused on the malaise of corruption in the country. He urged students, who are the future of our country to eradicate it as it hampers the growth of individuals and our Nation. The conference drew 50 research papers from 25 renowned institutes in India including Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal, Amity University, Lucknow and Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management. 12 chosen papers were published in the booklet, which was just another tangible outcome of the conference that had a lot to offer participants.
