Get vaccinated. Break the silence before it breaks you.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On <strong>World Hepatitis Day<\/strong>, <strong>SRMS College of Nursing, Bareilly<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Medical-Surgical Nursing Department<\/strong>, took health education beyond classrooms and hospitals, straight to the heart of the community. A powerful <strong>street play <\/strong>at<strong> Dhaura Tanda\u2019s Community Health Centre, in Sahu Thakur Das Inter College<\/strong> became the medium, and saving lives through awareness became the message.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this year\u2019s WHO theme, <strong>\u201cHepatitis: Let\u2019s Break It Down\u201d<\/strong>, BSc (2nd semester) and GNM (2nd year) nursing students put up an eye-opening performance that tackled myths, misinformation, and neglect head-on. Their performances decoded what Hepatitis really is, a silent but dangerous disease, often dismissed as weakness, fatigue, or a passing fever. Students explained symptoms like nausea, jaundice, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain with empathy and urgency, urging the public to not ignore the signs. From causes to prevention, vaccination, and early testing, the performance laid out simple but life-saving steps. The human touch of the act played out on real soil in front of real people, resonated deeply.
