Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Nursing, Bareilly <\/strong><\/a> marked World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7)<\/strong> with impactful activities centered on this year\u2019s theme \u2018Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All\u2019.<\/strong> The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding and encouraged families, societies & healthcare professionals to support breastfeeding mothers.<\/p>\n

The week-long awareness initiative began with pamphlet<\/strong> & flashcard competition<\/strong> at multi-purpose hall of Nursing College,<\/strong> wherein students created visually appealing pamphlets & flash cards to educate everyone on breastfeeding. Evaluated by Aneesh Chandran, Vice Principal<\/strong><\/a> & Parashram, Associate Professor <\/strong><\/a> at SRMS Nursing College, the event successfully met its objectives, fostering learning & camaraderie among the participants. However, Shruti <\/strong> along with Anshika & Priyanka<\/strong> from BSc Nursing <\/strong><\/a> clinched first & second positions respectively, while Muskan<\/strong> from GNM <\/strong><\/a> stood third.<\/p>\n

Following this, a Role Play<\/strong> on nutritional content of breast milk along with WHO recommendations, was enacted by GNM 2nd & 3rd year<\/strong> students at Bhojipura\u2019s Community Health Center (CHC)<\/strong> & Gynae Ward of IMS<\/strong><\/a> in the presence of Chief Guest Dr Satish Chaudhary<\/strong>, MOI, CHC, which was well-coordinated by Harshita Harbola, Assistant Professor <\/strong><\/a>; Anuj Gangwar<\/strong>, PG Tutor & Heena,<\/strong> Clinical Instructor. An informative video presentation on breastfeeding by BSc Nursing students gave practical understanding to students & cleared their doubts. Later, postnatal & antenatal mothers participated in engaging Quiz Competition,<\/strong> where a group of mothers (Champa, Gajala, Arsala & Sakshi) won the quiz, reinforcing the college\u2019s commitment to maternal & child health.<\/p>\n
