One day National Seminar “lternate Energy – Solar & Solar PV” organized at SRMS CET, Bareilly

On 21st September, 2019 in the new seminar hall of SRMSCET, Bareilly a one day national seminar was organized by the Institution Of Engineers (India) Bareilly Local Centre, Bareilly on the topic Alternate Energy – Solar & Solar PV in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The MOC Ms. Sadaf Qasim (Faculty E.N Department) invited keynote speaker of the seminar Dr. Ravi Saxena (Prof. G.B Pant University), Er. Subhash Mehra (Trust Administrator), Dr. Prabhakar Gupta (Dean Academics SRMSCET & SRMSCET&R), Dr. Rajesh Tyagi (H.O.D E.N Department), Dr. Pankaj Sharma (EIE), Er. Sanjeev Kumar (Event Coordinator) for the lamp lightning followed by the Saraswati Vandana. In the honour of the presence of all the dignitaries, they were given badges and saplings. To start the event Dean Academics Dr. Prabhakar Gupta gave his welcome address and also shared some information on the usage of solar energy and new amendments which are about to be done in India. A presidential address was also given by Er. Subhash Mehra and he encouraged the students to understand each and everything with full concentration.

Dr. Rajesh Tyagi also shared his views about the objective and theme of one-day seminar. The keynote speaker of the seminar Dr. Ravi Saxena from Department of EE, G.B Pant University Agri. & Tech. objectified about the scope of projects that can change the scenario of the world in the field of solar energy and told about the first position of India in using LED bulbs as a source of light. Event coordinator Er. Sanjeev Kumar gave his vote of thanks to the respected dignitaries for their auspicious presence in this seminar. Total 5 sessions took place in this seminar. Dr. Ravi Saxena started the first session by sharing his vast knowledge on solar energy by telling the comparisons of Earth & Sun. The second session was taken up by Prof. Inayat Hussain from Mechanical Department and he told about the usage and scope of solar energy in running machines. The third session started by Mr. Pranjal Saxena (Asst. Professor EE Department, MJPRU) in which he shared the importance and benefits of using solar energy over other energy resources.

The fourth session was taken up by Dr. Atul Sarojwal (Asst. Professor EE Department, MJPRU) in which he told about how we can connect the solar energy to our daily life and can reform our work accordingly. The fifth and last session of the seminar was taken up by Er. Sovan Mohanty (Chief Proctor & faculty of EE Department) in which he shared his enthusiastic views over the sun as the divine power and the work to be done for extracting power out of any substance. At last Er. Santosh Khare gave his admiring speech on the success of the one-day seminar and gave the words of appreciation for all the speakers. Dr. Rajesh Tyagi gave his vote of thanks for one and all present over there and the closing of the seminar was taken up following the National Anthem.
