SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly recently organized a two-day grand ‘CHESS TOURNAMENT’ for all SRMS Trust Institutions , wherein Mohd Hanzal ( from IMS) won the tournament in an exciting Grand Finale, against Harsh Yadav(IPS), displaying remarkable chess prowess throughout the tournament.
The Chess Tournament, inaugurated by Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor, was a befitting platform for students to showcase their strategic thinking abilities and mental agility, displaying healthy competition & intellectual engagement. Alongside Mohd Hanzal & Harsh Yadav, Priyam & Vaibhav (from CET) were among the semi-finalists. Organized by Colleges’ Verve Club, the competition brought together students of various disciplines from SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) , CETR , SRMS College of Nursing , SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS) & SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly.
Towards the end, Shri Dev Murti , Chairman SRMS Trust felicitated the winners and runner-up with trophies & certificates in the presence of Dr Prabhakar Gupta , Principal CET; Dr Shailesh Saxena , Dean Academics, CETR; Dr Anuj Kumar , Director TDP Cell; Er KK Agarwal , DSW & several others. Praveen Kumar, Sports Head & Harsh Kumar, Sports Secretary led the smooth functioning of the tournament. Shruti Gupta &Vandita Sharma, Vice Presidents, Verve Club were the events’ MOC.
