The gripping SEASON 3 of SRMS Friendship Cup, a prestigious Triangular Cricket Series, organized by Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust, delivering non-stop action since February 16, came to a befitting close on March 9 in its GRAND FINALE with SRMS KINGS emerging as ULTIMATE CHAMPIONS of Season 3 Friendship Cup against IMA, Bareilly by 7 wickets.
This month-long Sunday cricket extravaganza kept the cricket enthusiasts hooked throughout the series. The final match saw nail-biting clash between SRMS Kings v/s IMA Bareilly, where SRMS Kings scored 196/3 runs against IMA's 195/6 in 20 overs. Aditya Murti, the Team Captain & Secretary of SRMS Trust, claimed MAN OF THE MATCH title with a phenomenal performance, scoring a rapid 33 runs off just 14 balls—including 3 massive sixes, while also taking a crucial wicket.
Dr Anil Gangwar from IMA Bareilly was crowned the ‘Man of the Series’, showcasing exceptional batting prowess with a total of 207 runs, including a brilliant century. Dr Salil Baldev from IDA Bareilly secured the ‘Best Batsman’ title with an impressive 193 runs, while Sudhanshu Saxena from SRMS Kings dominated the bowling attack, earning the ‘Best Bowler’ title with 10 wickets to his name. Dr Mahesh Tripathi (from SRMS Kings) displayed outstanding fielding skills, claiming the ‘Best Fielder’ award for his 5 spectacular catches in as many matches. Additionally, the IDA Bareilly Team was honored with ‘Fair Play Award’ for upholding the true spirit of the game.
