The Training Development and Placement Cell of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly conducted a motivational lecture by renowned industry expert FARAZ A KHAN, Alumnus, B Tech (EC) Batch 2002 on the topic “Mapping Skills with the Current Industry Trends”, who’s currently working as Product Owner at Telstra, Melbourne, Australia.
Held under Alumni Lecture Series, the lecture targeted B Tech I & II-year students of SRMS CET and CETR. The knowledge-driven session began with presenting the sapling to Faraz A Khan by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics, SRMS CET, following the eco-friendly culture of SRMS Trust. Thereafter, Faraz A Khan took the stage and shed some light on the topic and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience, making this lecture a fun for students, faculty, and industry enthusiasts alike. He highlighted the rapid advancements in technology, the rise of automation, and the shifting demands of employers.
The lecture emphasized the need to continuously upskill and reskill to remain competitive in the job market. Later, the Alumni guest also interacted with students and answered the various queries raised by them. Overall, the lecture served as a wake-up call for attendees to be proactive in understanding the evolving industry trends and mapping their skills accordingly. By staying informed and aligning their skill sets with the demands of the current job market, students were empowered to make informed career decisions and seize new opportunities.
