Summer Internships

Summer internship is a very first exposure for the students wherein they can interact with the corporate world and apply their classroom learning into practical scenario. During the internship the students work under the guidance of working professionals (corporate mentor) in the assigned company who guide them to understand how the industry work to achieve the organizational goal. During this summer internship student’s performance is continuously monitored by an internal faculty guide also.

At the end of the internship program students are required to obtain a certificate from their respective company where they have worked with, that they have satisfactorily completed the work allotted to them. On return to the campus, they are required to submit a detailed report highlighting the practical application of management concepts in the work place as well as details on what they had learned in the company.

As an essential part of MBA curriculum and in order to provide corporate exposure to students, it is mandatory to every MBA student to go for summer internship after completion of first year. The summer internship not only makes them familer with the challenges of the market but also give them a chance to understand what exact skills the industries are looking for in a management graduate.

The differentiating feature in SIP activity of SRMS is that, the students receive Pre-Placement offers on the basis of their performance during the internship and accordingly they join the company in the last semester as per university norms and guideline. Also, almost 90 % MBA students of every batch earn a handsome amount of stipend during the internship.

On academic front as per the requirement of the course curriculum, students are supposed to give presentation regarding their SIP project before an evaluation panel, which consists on Industry and academic professionals.
