The Department of Ophthalmology at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly in association with Bareilly Ophthalmologists Society (BOS) organized a two-day All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) Glaucoma Prayogshala & SRMS Video Film Festival recently that was inaugurated by Guest of Honor , Dr Devindra Sood, a specialist in Adult & Pediatric Glaucoma and Director at Institute of Glaucoma, Indira Gandhi Eye Hospital, Gurugram, along with Aditya Murti , Director Administration, SRMS IMS. Dr MS Butola , Principal IMS; Dr Neelima Mehrotra , Professor & Head, Department of Ophthalmology, IMS; Dr Chandra Shekhar Yadav, President of BOS & others dignitaries were also present.
The conference began with Poster & Paper Presentations, followed by Scientific Sessions led by eminentophthalmologists. Dr Mukesh Kumar(CL Gupta Eye Institute, Moradabad) & Prof Dr Neeraj Prajapati (IMS) spoke on �Microincision Glaucoma Surgery’ & �Radiology in Orbit’ respectively. Dr Neelima Mehrotra shared insights on� Rock Solid Rotational Stability of New Toric 2’ & �Fulminant Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension’ along with Live Surgery demonstrations. Dr Jimmy Mittal (Glaucoma specialist at Vivekananda Polyclinic & DNB Institute, Lucknow) & Dr Devindra Sood spoke on �Swan Syndrome Post Trabeculectomy’ & �Clinical Evaluation of Optic Disc’ each, followed by several insightful sessions by guest speakers.
The conference also exhibited SRMS Video Film Festival as an interdisciplinary event, showcasing medical & surgical recordings, offering insights on �Phaco in Difficult Situation’, �Phacoemulsification’, �Neurosurgical Approach to Lesions Affecting Vision’ etc. Hands-on Dry & Wet Labs covered Laser Iridotomy, Trabeculectomy Surgery (Goat’s Eye), Gonioscopy, Optical Coherence Tomography etc. Later, Aditya Murti & Dr MS Butola felicitated all the delegates with mementos.
