SRMS INSTITUTE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES HOSTS INFORMATIVE GUEST LECTURE ON FASCINATING WORLD OF SYNOPTOPHORE

SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRMS IPS), Bareilly organized a guest lecture and practical demonstration on the topic ‘Application of Synoptophore’ that was delivered by guest lecturer Amit Saxena from SRMS IMS, who’s a renowned optometrist practicing for over two decades. The event began with welcoming the guest speaker with a plant sapling by Dr Ashish Chauhan (PT), Vice Principal, SRMS IPS.
The lecture was well attended by the students and faculty of the institute, who were keen to learn more about the application of Synoptophore. Organized under the able guidance of Sukhdev Singh, Department of Optometry; and Rohitash Gangwar & Mehak Naaz, faculty members of the Department of Optometry, the lecture was quite interactive and knowledge-driven. Amit Saxena began the lecture by explaining the concept of Synoptophore and its application in the field of optometry. He described it as a diagnostic tool that helps in assessing the alignment of the eyes and the coordination of its movements. He further explained how it can be used to detect various eye conditions such as strabismus, amblyopia, and diplopia. During the session, Amit Saxena encouraged the students to ask questions and clarify their doubts. He also shared his personal experiences and case studies to make the lecture more engaging and interesting. The students were also shown live demonstrations of how Synoptophore works and its different components. Later, he highlighted the importance of proper calibration and maintenance of the Synoptophore for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Towards the end of the lecture, the guest speaker stressed the importance of continuous learning and
staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of optometry.
