The much-awaited Sports Meet 2025, titled ‘AAVAHAN’ of SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly from March 3-6, 2025, kicked-off with a grand start, marking the commencement of a series of thrilling athletic events like Athletics (100m, 200m, 400m, 4×100 Relay, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, High Jump & Long Jump), Cricket, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Tug of War, Carrom, Chess, Pool, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Legged Race, followed by a fun-filled Faculty Cricket Match. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and enthusiasm as students, faculty & staff gathered to witness the opening ceremony of this annual event.
The inaugural of grand sports extravaganza commenced with the arrival of Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, who was welcomed with a plant sapling, as a gesture towards environmental consciousness and sustainability. A brief introductory address was delivered by Vaishnavi Sharma, Batch 2021.The sports fest was graced by Aditya Murti, Director Administration, in the presence of Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal, IPS; Dr MS Butola, Principal, IMS ; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Bindu Garg, Dean UG; Dr Kranthi Kumar, DSW, IMS; Rohitash Gangwar, DSW, IPS & many others.
Gaurav Karki, President of Vibrant Club gave a welcome address. Shri Dev Murti emphasised upon how sports foster teamwork, discipline, and resilience, and the way these traits help shape well-rounded individuals. Soon after, he officially declared the Sports Fest open by traditional torch lighting & ribbon cutting ceremony. However, this sports fest will span over three days, bringing forward the spirit of sportsmanship alive along with athletic abilities.
