SRMS INSTITUTE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES HOSTS OATH-TAKING CEREMONY PROMOTING SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION & DOWRY ERADICATION

In order to support the contributions and achievements of women and in compliance of the mandatory circular issued by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly recently organized an Oath-Taking Ceremony to raising awareness on critical social issues of Nasha Mukti (Substance Abuse Prevention) & Dahej Mukti (Dowry Eradication). The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members, who solemnly pledged to contribute towards building a society free from substance abuse and dowry practices.

The prime objective was to encourage students to take a firm stand against these deep-rooted social evils and become active change-makers within their families, schools, and communities. Addressing the gathering, Dr Jaspreet Kaur , Principal IPS, emphasised upon the adverse impact of drug addiction on youth and the prevalence of dowry practices in marriages. The ceremony concluded with active support and commitment of students towards government’s initiatives in eliminating these social evils.

The event saw the presence of Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor, Dr Jaspreet Kaur; Rohitash Gangwar, DSW along with faculty members and students of IPS.
