On account of International Day of Radiology, Department of Radiology at SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly organized Quiz & Rangoli Competition along with Poster Presentation and an enriching Guest Lecture on ‘Advanced Imaging in Interventional Radiology’, which was delivered by Dr Namrata Singh, Associate Professor, Radio-Diagnosis Department, IMS.

Based on 2024 theme ‘Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen’, the engaging competitions showcased students’ knowledge & creativity.Dr Namrata Singh highlighted critical role of imaging in guiding interventional radiology procedures for minimally invasive treatments. She discussed advanced imaging modalities for patient’s safety like USG, CT, Fluoroscopy for safe & precise procedures. She further explained about Gastrointestinal Stenting, Urinary & Biliary Stenting, Grafting, Balloon Catheter Procedures, Ablation, Embolization, Thrombolic Agent Administration etc.

Later, cake cutting ceremony took place along with felicitation of winners by Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Dr Neeraj Prajapati, Professor, Radio-Diagnosis Department, IMS & Dr Namrata Singh, in the presence of Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Saurabh Pantola, Assistant Professor, Radio-diagnosis Department, IMS & Priyanka Saxena, In-charge, Department of Radiology Imaging Techniques, IPS.
Among with winners, Zoya Mirza, Nitin & Raj Thakur clinched first, second & third prize respectively in Poster Presentation. In Rangoli, Nujhat & Sidra stood first while Ankit & Saumya grabbed second prize. Nirjal, Vineet, Fauzia, Hitanshu & Zoya won the Quiz competition.
