To mark the contribution of Physiotherapists towards society in promoting health & wellbeing, the Department of Physiotherapy at SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly recently observed World Physiotherapy Day on the theme ‘Prevention and Management of Osteoarthritis’. The event aimed to highlight the crucial role of physiotherapists in preventing various forms of arthritis, including inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis etc.
The event kicked-off with Poster Making Competition, wherein Physiotherapy students created posters on emerging trends in physiotherapy, focusing on the theme of World Physiotherapy Day. Students also expressed their artistic prowess through beautiful rangoli creations, adding a splash of color & creativity to the event. Later, the winners of the competition were announced, wherein BPT students of Batch 2019 namely Anshika Gupta & Riya Yadav clinched first & second prize respectively, whereas Pranav Agarwal, a BPT student of Batch 2020 received consolation prize. The event was adjudged by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust & Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS. Later, all the students and faculties of IPS cut the customary cake in the presence of Shri Dev Murti.
Emphasizing upon the earmarked celebrations, Dr Hina Siddiqui (PT), Assistant Professor, IPS said, “Poster competition provided students a platform to showcase their creativity and effectively convey their perspectives through engaging posters and impressive rangolis, which was surely a treat to watch.”
