With an aim to make students elite in using contrast media, the Department of Radiological Imaging Techniques at SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRMS IPS), Bareilly recently organized a Guest Lecture Cum Tech Aspire Quiz for the students of Bachelor of Science in Radiological Imaging Techniques (BRIT). Based on the topic ‘Safety Consideration of Contrast Media’, the knowledge-driven lecture was delivered by Keynote Speakers, Abhishek Anand, Application Specialist, Wipro GE Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, and his colleague Mayank Karnwal, Territory Manager (UK & Western UP).
The engaging session began with welcome speech and giving away of plant saplings to Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal, SRMS IPS in the presence of Neha Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Radiological Imaging Techniques and other dignitaries. Students & technical staff got a wider understanding about the indications and contraindications of contrast media. During his session, Abhishek Anand explained the management of complications that arise from contrast media in a befitting manner. The enlightening talk ended with the interactive quiz, wherein students showcased their impeccable presence of mind.
Finally, the winners were announced, wherein Mohammad Anas (Batch 2021), Junaid Khan (Batch
2020) & Sandeep Yadav (Batch 2019) secured first, second & third place respectively.
