The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRMSIPS), Bareilly conducted a one-day Hands-on Workshop on the ‘Concept of Functional Therapeutic Taping In Clinical Conditions’ on March 18, 2023. Dr Manjul Nautiyal, Ex Physio, Indian Wrestling team was the Resource person for the workshop that proved to be an engaging experience.
The workshop was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr Ashish Chauhan (PT), Vice Principal, SRMS IPS, who give away the plant saplings to Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Dr SB Gupta, Principal SRMS IMS; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; and Dr CM Chaturvedi, Principal SRMSIPS in the gracious presence of Guest of Honor, Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr MS Butola, Designated Principal; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG and heads & faculties of various departments.
During the workshop, Dr Manjul Nautiyal explained the term and concept of the workshop. Soon after, Shri Dev Murti gave an inspiring speech on the importance of physiotherapy, and encouraged the students to learn various techniques and expand their skills. He also stressed on the importance of rehabilitation for various conditions such as stroke, spina cord injury and different cardiac conditions. Later, Dr SB Gupta apprised about the achievements of SRMS trust in the field of healthcare and education. Dr Manjul Nautiyal was also felicitated by Shri Dev Murti for the enlightening session. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Nabeela Khanam (PT), In-charge Physiotherapy department. MOC of the event was Dr Hina Siddiqui (PT), Assistant Professor, SRMS IPS.
